Starbucks today announced the launch of their latest menu offering, the S’Mores Frappuccino, which will be available from 5 January across all branches for a limited time.
The S’Mores Frappuccino consists of marshmallow-infused whipped cream, chocolate sauce, vanilla syrup, and biscuits in a milk, ice, and coffee frappuccino blend. It is based off the American dessert, which is traditionally made out of fire-roasted marshmallows and chocolate in between a layer of graham crackers.
The move to launch a s’mores product is an interesting one as the treat has never been a South African tradition. This could mean that Starbucks is testing how its more American offerings will fare in this new expansion region.
