Chocolate mousse is easily one of my favourite — and the best — desserts ever created. It’s a combination of chocolate and cream, whipped into a light and fluffy texture is just heavenly. It’s not uncommon for me to sit down with a one-litre tub of the stuff and devour it all.
One of my fondest memories of the dessert is when my family travelled to Johannesburg on holiday. This must be at least 25 years ago, and we ended up going to a Panarottis for supper. When it was time for dessert, I was allowed to order a Death by Chocolate, which consisted of laters of milk, white, and dark chocolate mousse. It was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted, but (sadly) it’s no longer available to order.
